A home consultation gives us time to discuss your ideas in the room itself. I bring heading examples, sample blinds, lining layers, hardware examples and small fabric samples so we can explore the details in your home’s natural light.

I take precise measurements, allowing for uneven walls and floors, and suggest treatments to suit your taste, budget and home. Larger fabric swatches can be sourced as we develop your choices.

Consultations are free, with no obligation to proceed. A travel charge may apply for distances over 25 miles from the Castle Eaton studio; please contact me to discuss. The time needed depends on the number and size of your windows, and I can advise when we arrange your visit.

What shapes the price

The details of your project.

Your chosen fabric, window dimensions, pattern repeat, linings, headings and finishing details all contribute to your quotation.

Any measuring, fitting or hardware requirements can be discussed alongside the making, so the quotation sets out the agreed work.

A quotation is sent within 24 hours of your consultation, with no obligation to proceed. If you choose to go ahead, your workroom slot is booked on receipt of the deposit detailed in your quotation. The finer design details and materials are confirmed as part of that process.

Lead times depend on fabric availability and the workroom schedule. Payment arrangements are set out in your quotation.
